Born in 1990, Claire Askew became a vegan and an activist at fifteen. She is the author of Generation V: the Complete Guide to Going, Being, and Staying Vegan as a Teenager and has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, VegNews, Fiske Real College Essays that Work, and others. Raised in the Midwest, she now lives in Portland, Oregon, where she studies English and gender studies at a small liberal arts college.
