When Bad Chemicals got invited to play a show at Reed’s Local in Chicago and only Kyle (vocals) and Dave (bass) were available, the promoter suggested Kyle just “read some stuff.” So Kyle read some poems and short stories while Dave accompanied with a 5-string bass. It went over surprisingly well. So they recorded “some stuff.”
