Traditionally the award is passed on by last year’s winner. Sadly, Reverend Paul Nicolson’s award was presented posthumously in 2020. Nevertheless the batton was passed from one inspirational campaigner against poverty to tireless activist. Selma James is introduced by Helen Lewis, author “Difficult Women, a History of Feminism in Eleven Fights”.
