James Kelman is novelist, short story writer, playwright, essayist, and activist from Glasgow, Scotland. He has long been involved in political activism, both in Scotland and internationally. He has also been a long-time friend of the Kurdish movement, and has written book entitled The Freedom to Think Kurdistan, published in 2019.

Connor Hayes is an activist, researcher, and a student of philosophy. He was a member of the 2019 International Peace Delegation to Imrali.
