Part 1 of an interview with John Curl, author, woodworker, and workers cooperative member. John’s book is available from PM Press and is a 487 page look at cooperation, cooperative movements and communalism in America. It’s a wonderful book full of stuff that is much more interesting than what you learned in school. From colonial times, the Revolutionary and Civil Wars, through Reconstruction, the Great Depression to the present, Curl lays out a fascinating array of facts, as well as profiles of cooperatives then and now.
