In November 2010, I traveled to South Africa to deliver a TEDx Talk on ecological architecture. The organizer of the conference had seen my PM Press-published documentary First Earth, and she wanted me to share the message of the movie with the TEDx audience in Johannesburg. It was quite a challenge to cram a ninety minute dissertation into only 20 percent of the time allotted. But I finally managed to squeeze the thesis into an eighteen minute slideshow presentation. The conference organizers just uploaded the video to YouTube, and I’m happy to share it with you here, just in time for the first day of spring 2011. Please feel free to share the video widely, and if you like what you see and would like to see more, check out the full-length feature film First Earth: Uncompromising Ecological Architecture from PM Press.
