Adam Carpinelli interviews activist scholar Dan Berger. Berger recently completed Captive Nation: Black Prison Organizing in the Civil Rights Era which examines the crucial role that Black Prisoners played in the Black freedom struggle and a slim primer on U.S. Political Prisoners, entitled The Struggle Within: Prisons, Political Prisoners, and Mass Movements in the United States.
